What To Expect in Q3, Astrologically

Sam Manzella

Welcome to Quarter 3 of 2025! We’re officially halfway through the fiscal year.

How did Q2 land for you and your work life? Summer is here, Jupiter is getting comfy in Cancer, and new opportunities are popping up. We’re entering Q3 primed to take ourselves and our dreams seriously. No more doubting yourself. No more quitting when the going gets tough. Big changes are on the horizon this quarter. Believing in yourself isn’t optional. It’s imperative.

Jumping right in: On July 7, Uranus enters Gemini, launching us into a new seven-year cycle of change and innovation. Time to think outside the box, baby! Business-wise, this supports experimenting with emerging technologies, connecting with new people, and switching up your marketing or communications strategy. Keep an open mind, but be discerning about where you get your information. Remember, this is the opening act of a long-term transit — if you notice a shift, take notes. (Uranus changing signs is rarely subtle.)

Midway through the month, Saturn stations retrograde, punctuating any big commitments or challenges that arose in Q2. Mercury follows suit on July 18; it won’t be direct again until August 11. Get creative with how you navigate tech malfunctions, scheduling mix-ups, or communication breakdowns — those tend to multiply when Mercury is retrograde. If you make a mistake, own up to it. If you have to sign any contracts during this window, read the fine print.

August is a lovely month to take time off or go on vacation. Life will slow down a bit. Venus and Jupiter, the two luckiest planets in astrology, will link up on the 12th, which looks like a fun time.

Come September, the action ramps back up, big time. On the 1st, Saturn retrogrades back into Pisces. This marks the closing chapter of a story that began all the way back in March 2023 — essentially, you’ve got some unfinished business to attend to. Eclipse season arrives midway through the month, signaling big twists and turns. What was going on in your in late March? You might see echoes of those themes as this quarter comes to a close.

TL;DR, Q3 will keep you on your toes, but it will also provide opportunities to relax and unwind. Unclench your knuckles. Enjoy the ride. Do you get PTO from work? Use it. I’ll circle back in September with this year’s final edition of Quarterly Report.

Aries & Aries Rising

Key themes: Everyday routines, passion projects, and work obligations

Beginning in early July, Uranus in Gemini will inject new energy into your everyday life and communications projects. That’s your cue to break up the monotony of the daily grind. Experiment with where you work or how you structure your time. If your job involves writing or marketing, take a new or unconventional approach. Just be mindful of your bandwidth. Challenging yourself is a good thing, but blowing past your limits? Not so much.

During Leo season (July 22 – August 22), your pleasurable pursuits will take priority. Consider taking some time off and focusing on your hobbies or relationships. Once we hit Virgo season (August 23 – September 22), you’ll shift back into work mode. Steel yourself for some turbulence at the end of the quarter, though. With eclipses activating your health and labor sector, your workload could be unusually draining or unpredictable.

Are you still at a job you’ve outgrown? Bumping up against your arbitrarily high standards for yourself?  Working so hard that it’s taking a toll on your health? You can’t give everything you do 100 percent of your energy. That doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It means you’re human. Act accordingly.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

Key themes: Finances, resources, and writing or communication

I see changes on the horizon for you in Q3, Taurus — some thrilling, some trickier to navigate. First things first: Uranus leaving Gemini means it’s exiting your sign for the first time in seven years (!!!) Feel that? Yeah, that’s what a regulated nervous system feels like. Now take a deep breath with me.

That said, Uranus in Gemini will hit your financial sector this quarter and shake things up. Is your day job a total snooze fest? Take on a fun side hustle, or apply for a different job. Bonus points if it’s a bit unconventional or slightly outside of your comfort zone. You’ll want to buffer for surprise expenses this quarter, too. Between Uranus changing signs and Mercury stationing retrograde in the middle of July, your income or household expenses may fluctuate.

Come mid-August, you’ll shine in the communication department. It’s an excellent span of time to focus on writing, marketing yourself and your work, or pursuing your aspirations. Basically, you’ll be feeling yourself — shoot your shot! September’s astrology looks more tumultuous, so stay flexible. And if you can, avoid putting all your eggs in one basket.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

Key themes: Lucrative opportunities, personal shifts, and growth edges in your career

By now, Jupiter has had a chance to get situated in your financial sector. Either you’re starting to work with bigger clients, scoring more lucrative gigs, or noticing more ease and stability in your close relationships. Honestly? This will only get better as the quarter unfolds. Enjoy it.

At the top of Q3, Uranus moves into your sign, kicking off a once-in-a-lifetime transit for you. It won’t be subtle, either; expect a surge of energy that feels downright electric. Maybe you’ll have an influx of new ideas or try something that casually blows your mind. If your nervous system goes a little haywire, or you feel overwhelmed by information, slow down. (For reference: You’ll feel this influence most strongly in early July and again in early September, when Uranus stations retrograde.)

During Mercury retrograde (July 18 – August 11),  you’ll want to slow down, proofread your correspondences with friends and peers, and think before you speak (all good advice in general, but I digress). The following month, Saturn dips backwards into your career sector. This is your final boss moment, maybe even literally — time to face reality and close a chapter that’s been unfolding for for the past few years. And if life throws you a curveball, or a big opportunity falls through? Take the L. It’s a cliché for a reason: rejection is redirection.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

Key themes: Personal growth, finances, and big-picture goals

Your season might be winding down, Cancer, but your glow-up era is just getting started. This quarter, you’re poised to grow, evolve, and rethink your self-sabotaging tendencies. Don’t get in your head or undermine yourself. That also goes for your career prospects and contractual relationships. If work is slow, maybe that’s a sign to rest or focus on self-development — Saturn’s retrograde station on July 13 will punctuate this. But if you’re hard at work on something big or high-profile? Keep chugging along.

Relatedly: Keep a close eye on your bank account this quarter. With Mercury retrograde (July 18 – August 11) hitting your financial sector, things may get a bit wonky. Be resourceful, and double check your invoices, paystubs, and bank statements.

September could bring some turbulence, particularly when it comes to your writing, daily life, and big-picture goals. Remember, in most cases, “done” is better than perfect. And if you’ve been on the fence about committing to a long-term project or course of study? Consider delving in more seriously as the quarter comes to a close. Saturn is swinging back around to gauge your interest one last time.

Leo & Leo Rising

Key themes: Self-care practices, social connections, and resources

It’s not that you’re not working right now, Leo. Rather, you’re busy tending to the parts of your life that most people don’t see — think: self-care, or a personal project that’s purely for your own fulfillment. Once your season rolls around (July 22 – August 22), you’ll feel rested and ready to reemerge. Uranus dipping into Gemini will shake things up in your social life, too. Maybe you’ll get the itch to introduce yourself to new people in your industry or refresh your online presence.

Watch out for Mercury retrograde (July 18 – August 11). It’s occurring in your sign, so you’re kind of in the hot seat here. We’re all guilty of putting our foot in our mouth. It if happens, own up to it, apologize, and move on. On a positive note, this is a great window to get back into journaling or lean on a skill you haven’t used in a while.

Virgo season (August 23 – September 22) will shine a light on your talents, resources, and personal finances. There’s an Excel sheet with your name on it. Saturn’s final stretch in Pisces, which begins on September 1, will double down on that. Do you have unfinished business with a collaborator, investor, or someone who owes you money? You might get some closure. It’ll get more tumultuous before it gets better, though, so don’t expect an immediate resolution. In fact, maybe just expect the unexpected.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

Key themes: Career shifts, relationship dynamics, and commitments to others

This quarter opens on a busy note for you, Virgo. With Mars in your sign, you’re on fire, and Cancer season has you making new connections left and right.

Uranus’ entrance into Gemini on July 7 will keep the momentum going. This marks the very beginning of new seven-year cycle that stands to radically revamp how you show up professionally. Freeing yourself from imposter syndrome, becoming an innovator in your industry, quitting your day job so you can be your own boss — it’s all within the realm of possibility. Is your definition of success due for an overhaul? Take notes.

That comes with two caveats. During Mercury retrograde (July 18 – August 11), the anxious part of your brain that tends to ruminate could get louder. Slow down, and prioritize self-care. Alas, once we hit your season (August 23 – September 22), things get intense in a different way. It looks like you’ve got something you still need to hash out with a client, collaborator, or your significant other. (Shoutout to Saturn, which is wrapping up its nearly three-year stint in your partnership sector.) Take any rocky moments in stride, and try not to be too self-critical. You can’t control how other people act, but you can control how you respond.

Libra & Libra Rising

Key themes: Career growth, social connections, and work-life balance

Good news, Libra: These next few months (particularly around mid-August, when Venus, your ruling planet, connects with Jupiter) look quite auspicious for your career. If you’re trying to switch roles, secure a high-profile project, or schmooze your way into a promotion — you’re in luck. Aim high. Ditto if you randomly get the urge to sign up for a course or publish something you wrote.

Leo season (July 22 – August 22) will pull focus on your friendships, social life, and aspirational pursuits. Shoot your shot, leading with your characteristic charm and amenability. And if you come on a little too strong? Happens to the best of us. Be patient and gracious, with yourself and others.

Oh, and one more thing: In September, Saturn will retrograde  back into your health and labor sector. That, coupled with the unpredictable nature of eclipse season, could get tricky. You’ve reached the final act of an ongoing three-year saga involving your work and wellness habits. Are you constantly overextending yourself? Saying “yes” to jobs or projects you don’t even like? Nip those people-pleasing tendencies in the bud.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

Key themes: Relationships, career ambitions, and workplace communication

Your financial and emotional entanglements are in flux, Scorpio. With Uranus switching signs at the top of the quarter, you’re getting a first look at whatever changes are in store for close relationships, including dynamics with clients, investors, and anyone who supports you. For now, just observe, and note any fear or anxiety that gets stirred up.

On a lighter note, Leo season (July 22 – August 22) looks like a standout moment for your career. Maybe you’ll get recognized for your achievements at work or take someone under your wing. Trust that you have the wisdom (and work ethic) to make shit happen. Watch how you conduct yourself at the office, though — with Mercury retrograde also in play, mix-ups and miscommunications are more likely. You take pride in your work, which is an asset, but don’t be too proud to admit when you’ve made a mistake.

If you’ve been too busy at work for your liking, or a health issue has flared up, you’ll get some relief when Saturn retrogrades back into Pisces in September. (It’s just a brief respite, though. Take these issues seriously.) The catch? Mars, your ruling planet, will be in Libra until the 22nd. Hello, indecisiveness! Resist the temptation to people-please or overthink simple decisions.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Key themes: Aspirational pursuits, relationship dynamics, and changes at work

With Jupiter, your ruling planet, in tip-top shape, you’ve got the support you need to thrive this quarter. It’s the perfect lead-in to Leo season (July 22 – August 22), which will shine a light on your publishing projects, educational pursuits, and big-picture goals. Think big, but do your homework before you commit to anything. Mercury retrograde means key details could get fuzzy (or worse, overlooked entirely).

At the same time: Uranus is moving into your partnership sector and electrifying your close relationships. Whether this involves your significant other, your business partner, or one of your clients remains to be seen. Expect some exciting shifts, and don’t be surprised if you get the urge to team up with someone who’s doing innovative work. (You’ll feel this most acutely in early July and early September.)

If you can swing it, take some time off from work in August — you’ll need the rest. Frankly, September looks pretty hectic for you, especially once we hit eclipse season midway through the month. Maybe your boss will throw you a curveball, or something challenging that’s been going on in your private life will be exacerbated. On the plus side, this is the perfect opportunity to reckon with your perfectionistic tendencies in the workplace. Unburden yourself of that self-imposed pressure. Your best is good enough. I promise.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

Key themes: Partnership, collaboration, and daily routines

Your partnerships are popping off, Capricorn. Either something is blossoming between you and a romantic prospect, or clients are hitting you up with new opportunities. It’s a nice foundation for Uranus’ entrance into Gemini on July 7, which will inject some novelty into your day-to-day work life. How

can you work with this? Upgrade your project management software. Experiment with unconventional productivity hacks. Take on gigs that challenge you intellectually or creatively.

Just tread carefully during Mercury retrograde (July 18 – August 11) — issues could pop up in your communication with any business partners or investors in your life. The same goes for financial paperwork. If you have to sign a contract during this window, read it closely. Better yet, run it by a lawyer.

In September, Saturn, your ruling planet, dips back into Pisces, closing out its three-year stint in this sign. Have you locked in on daily routines that feel solid? If you aren’t already investing in yourself, it’s time. Also worth noting: Eclipse season, which kicks off in mid-September, could introduce some plot twists and kick your high-achiever tendencies into overdrive. Manage your expectations, and focus on what you can control.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

Key themes: Productivity, collaboration, and resource management

How’s work going, Aquarius? Now that Jupiter has had time to get cozy in your health and labor sector, I bet things are feeling a little cushier than they were at the start of the year. Maybe you’ve scored a plush gig. Maybe you’re just doing a better job of managing your workload. Enjoy it, and expect that ease and flow in your day-to-day work life to continue in Q3.

Once we hit Leo season (July 22 – August 22), you’ll notice more emphasis on your committed and contractual relationships — doubly so if your work involves one-on-one consultations or client-facing work. Alas, Mercury retrograde (July 18 – August 11) could make it more challenging to get on the same page with other people. Proofread your emails with clients or collaborators, and read the fine print on any contracts you sign.

Things get even more chaotic in September: Saturn, your ruling planet, retreads ground in Pisces. Maybe you’ll revisit a long-term project for work or a financial goal that you’d discussed but hadn’t actually pursued yet. This is a nudge to look back and to tie up loose ends — take it seriously. And if money is tight, or someone who you thought you could count on does you dirty? That’s eclipse season for you: always turbulent, rarely predictable. Roll with the punches.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

Key themes: Downtime, daily work obligations, and self-discipline

I promised you a good time from Jupiter in Cancer, Pisces, and I’m doubling down on that for Q3. On the whole, you’re in for a fun summer — you’ll feel more creatively free and emotionally buoyant than you have in quite some time. Will Uranus in Gemini shake things up in your personal life? Maybe, but you’ll take it in stride. It might even be a welcome change of pace.

Make a point to double check your work during Leo season (July 22 – August 22). Though you’ll be laser-focused on your duties at work, Mercury retrograde could make logistics or communication a bit sloppy (think: double-booking yourself, or replying to an important work email with a comically bad typo). Humility will be your best friend. On a productive note, this is a good window to reconnect with peers or revisit a non-urgent work project that fell to the wayside.

Alas, once September rolls around, the vibe shifts pretty abruptly. On the 1st of the month, Saturn retrogrades back into your sign. This is your final push to get serious about something that’s been weighing on you for the past three years. Could be your health, could be your overall life direction, could be your core sense of identity — whatever it is, it’s time to get to work. Go at a realistic pace, though, and mentally prepare yourself for a plot twist or two. Eclipse season, which occurs simultaneously, could introduce some challenges that stymie your flow.
